XAMPP: An open source desktop web server which you can use to test your websites. This comes bundled with Apache web server and MySQL server.
Free download at http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html . Make sure you select the .EXE file which would auto install. Also you need to select the correct version for your Operating System.

Now that you have downloaded XAMPP onto you PC use the following steps to setup.
a. Use the downloaded .EXE file to install
b. Select appropriate location to install (e.g. /Program Files/)
c. Install application
d. Add shortcut to the desktop: y
e. Proceed: y
f. Drive letters: n
g. Installation complete
h. Continue
i. Choose: 1 (Start XAMPP control panel)
j. Choose: x (Exit XAMPP setup)
k. XAMPP Control Panel should look like following
l. Press Exit
Now you have Apache server and MySQL server running on your PC.
